What Should I Wear?

There isn't anything you necessarily should wear, but you should avoid clothing with images or lettering on them (unless it's a varsity jacket). Solids are generally better than prints. Seniors have worn everything from more formal dresses or shirts, to T-shirts and jeans. It's up to you and your personality. Well-fitting clothes will look a lot better than baggy loose-fitting clothes - I'm speaking mostly to the guys here! Feel free to bring any relevant props into our shoot! If you love guitar, bring your guitar and we can incorporate it. If you play football, bring a football along. You can be as quirky as you want - I've had a senior bring her pet rats! Guys - don't forget to shave even if it's just stubble!

Can My Mom Come Along? My Friends?

Of course! I encourage it! Basically, whoever will make you feel more at ease and yourself, the better. If your friends being there will make you laugh, then that's great. However if you feel that having your mom or your friends there will make you stressed, better to do the session without.

Poses will look effortless and uncontrived!

Bring a prop! Anything goes so be as quirky (or not) as you want!

How Do I Decide on Locations?

If you have location ideas I can certainly accommodate your requests - or I can suggest locations if you would rather have me decide. If you're at a loss, you can take a look at my portfolio above and see if there are any locations you like. If you're an athlete we could get a few shots by your sports venue, if you like natural scenes we can go to the beach or the mountains, if you like an architectural setting we can go into the city. Depending on the time you choose, we can do multiple locations!

I Don't Know How to Pose!

No worries! Nobody steps into a session knowing exactly where to put their hands, how to position their neck, or how to position their legs. I'll guide you while making sure you feel at ease. More importantly, you will not feel like you're in an awkwardly contrived pose. I'll make subtle adjustments to your natural pose that make a big difference on-camera to have you look and feel natural.
