White Lotus Farms catered BLOOM! Garden Center's art gallery reception this evening with their amazing varieties of chevre goat cheese and artisanal bread. There was also a masseuse, Jackie Stoliker, giving out free foot massages! White Lotus Farms is located within the Tsogyelgar Dharma Center.
I photographed an event held by the University of Michigan's Intergroup Relations program here in Ann Arbor earlier this week. It was great to be around so many engaged, enthusiastic, and optimistic students! Here are a few photos from the event:

“Sarah is a native of Michigan with a background in the nursery industry and design-build. She holds a Master’s degree in Landscape Design from Columbia University and has been designing in New York City for the past seven years. She is so pleased to be returning to her “roots” in Ann Arbor. Sarah is committed to sustainable and innovative design, and we are excited to welcome her to the team to meet the area’s growing interest in green roofs & green walls, interior landscaping, and cutting-edge urban design.”

I recently had the pleasure to meet and photograph Master Sang Kim, the founder and lineage holder of the Sun-Shen school of Tai-Chi.
He teaches Tai-Chi at the Dojo Kitchen, located at Suite 160, 320 Miller Ave. Ann Arbor, MI 48103.
Traven Pelletier of BLOOM! Garden Center and Traven Pelletier Environmental Art is currently exhibiting his monumental sculptures at the Malton Gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio!
These steel columns were cut with a plasma cutter, polished to design, painted, and fit on a base with an LED fixture illuminating the columns. The light fall-off from the base creates an amazing gradient of color:
